Amazon Kindle Fire

After the huge success story of last year, Amazon Kindle, this year sees the more advanced Amazon Kindle Fire. It has everything you need to surf the web, watch movies, download music or apps, read books pretty much anything you would expect a tablet pc to do. The only thing the Kindle Fire does not have is the big price, in fact this is the most reasonably priced tablet you could find in 2011.
It has received a lot of great reviews, and the great thing is that we all trust Amazon and know that they would not put their name to something that was not up to their high standard. So if you want an ipad, but not the price tag, then the Amazon Kindle Fire may just be the thing you are looking for.

Amazon Kindle Fire Size

Kindle Fire

The Amazon Kindle Fire is 7.5″ x 4.7″ x 0.45″ (190 mm x 120 mm x 11.4 mm), and weighs in at 14.6 ounces (413 grams). The important thing though is the display, this measures 7″ and is a multi-touch display, it has IPS (in-plane switching) technology which means that it has a wide viewing angle. This is important to you because it means that you should be able to get a decent picture on the screen, no loss of color and image, at a variety of angles. Why is this important? Well if you think about it you do not look at the Kindle Fire at the same angle for everything. For example I would view websites and read books at a diferent angle than I would if I was playing a game or using an app, but I still need to see the screen properly whatever I am doing.
The Kindle Fire also has an anti-reflective treatment, and this enables you to see the screen in the light without losing any quality. it is also great for reading full color magazines with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution at 169 ppi, and16 million colors.
