The important thing though is the display, this measures 7″ and is a multi-touch display, it has IPS (in-plane switching) technology which means that it has a wide viewing angle. This is important to you because it means that you should be able to get a decent picture on the screen, no loss of color and image, at a variety of angles. Why is this important? Well if you think about it you do not look at the Kindle Fire at the same angle for everything. For example I would view websites and read books at a diferent angle than I would if I was playing a game or using an app, but I still need to see the screen properly whatever I am doing.
